The project required navigating congested existing utility corridors, minimizing disruption to homeowners, and meeting aggressive 'homes passed' targets on a tight timeline.

Top Civil deployed multiple directional drilling crews equipped with Vermeer 10x15 and 20x22 rigs, paired with hydrovac units for utility daylighting. Our integrated approach allowed us to drill, place conduit, and splice fibre with a single point of contact — eliminating costly hand-offs between separate subcontractors.

The Challenge

A growing Central Alberta municipality needed a full-service civil contractor to take a new residential subdivision from raw land to fully serviced lots. The project required deep utility installation (sanitary, storm, water), complete road construction, and integration with the existing municipal infrastructure network.
